The Product Deployment Engineer will assist in the Product Deployment for a rapidly growing wireless network optimization company serving wireless carriers worldwide. The successful candidate will engage with Cerion’s customers early in the deployment phase to determine the means to obtain the required OSS data for Cerion’s Optimiser product. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of a variety of wireless provider’s core network OSS/PM systems, concepts, practices, and procedures. In conjunction with working directly with the customers they will also provide written functional requirements for Development and Product Marketing. This role will also lead in solving new and unexpected issues that arise during the pre-sales and deployment phase of the project and will need to manage multiple projects. Over time this individual will have the opportunity to build and manage a team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with customers, sales and developers in a fast-paced, innovative and dynamic environment.

Carreer Requirments

Primary Responsibilities:

Engage with Cerion customers to learn and define the data source(s) required for the Cerion Optimiser product

Investigate and identify data quality/integrity problems, determine impact and develop solutions

Make best practice recommendations on project methodology and engagement processes

Define, document and deliver clear, concise and complete functional specifications to Development

Maintain and enhance existing data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading processes and code to improve efficiency and meet changes in business requirements

Work very closely with Product Management and Product Development to ensure that proposed design and implementation is successful

Create workaround procedures when standard procedures have failed and ensure issues are resolved in a timely fashion

Provide Sales technical support and customer training

Assist with Alpha and Beta testing of new products

Track and follow through on all commitments

Build and lead a small team of engineers effectively

Have an ability and willingness to travel

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Requirements

3+ years experience with OSS vendor performance management systems for wireless providers, wireless technologies, and network operations

5+ years experience in querying and analyzing data sources to understand the data and determine logic for data transformations

2+ years of functional requirement development and customer-facing project implementations.

5+ years of hands-on object-oriented programming experience

Strong database knowledge (Oracle 10g is preferred) and PL/SQL skills

Excellent oral/written communications, interpersonal relations, and team cooperation

Professional presence and technical credibility to interact with internal and external team members and stakeholders.

Must be a team player, willing to share your knowledge and experience with the team

Must be a self-starter, self-motivator, and customer-focused individual

Demonstrate excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Excellent time management skills

Ability to analyze and solve complex system issues

Must work calmly in a sometimes stressful environment

BS in Computer Science (or equivalent degree)
